A student who has previously been enrolled as a degree-seeking student at KU may not
enroll as a non-degree seeking student until completion of
an undergraduate degree.
High school students who wish to enroll must provide a written approval from a parent/guardian and their respective high school principal or counselor.
There is a $30 application fee required.
The Office of Admissions and Scholarships reserves the right to deny admission.
Enrollment for students admitted as "OURU" is limited to 6 credit hours. If you already have a degree you will be admitted to another school
as a special student. You will be limited to the number of hours designated by the school to which you are admitted.
Many classes will be full so be prepared to choose alternatives.
University requirements such as instructor and departmental permission are applied. Look for restricted entry courses marked "I" or "P"
in the "R" column next to the class number. Contact the appropriate person or department to obtain
permission prior to enrollment.
Visiting student enrollees are not permitted to take courses in Business, Education, Engineering,
Fine Arts, Journalism, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Social Welfare without permission from the school or department.
If you are sixty years old or older you may request a waiver of tuition. The course(s) will be recorded on your academic record with a
grade of NE or "not evaluated." This option must be selected for all courses for which you enroll for any one semester. You must complete the
senior rates form and submit it by February 18, 2008. The senior rates form is available
on the registrars website at: http://www.registrar.ku.edu/pdf/senior.pdf.
If you wish to take a course for pleasure (earning no credit hours) you must complete a visitor form
and submit it by February 18, 2008. The visitors rates form is available on the registrars website at: http://www.registrar.ku.edu/pdf/visitor.pdf.
The course(s) will be recorded
on your academic record, with a grade of NE or "not evaluated." This option must be selected for all courses for which you enroll, for any one semester.
You may view your fee assessment on the Enroll & Pay system.
It will indicate the tuition/fee due date and the amount due with your schedule.
Bills are also sent by mail. Not receiving a bill does not extend your due date or cancel charges. No financial aid is available.
