A fringe benefit for faculty, unclassified and classified staff, graduate teaching
assistants, graduate research assistants, and some staff dependents.
Staff dependent resident rates are available only for spouses and dependent children
of full time (100% appointment) staff. Exceptions will be made for dependents of
part-time staff who were eligible March 6, 1998, and who remain continuously
employed in an eligible position. Due Dates:
Spring 2008: Last day to submit applications: February 18, 2008.
Spring 2008: Date by which one must apply for tuition adjustments to
have them reflected on bill: December 4, 2007.
Full-time staff (100% appointment) of affiliated corporations (Alumni
Association, Kansas and Burge Unions, Athletic Association, and the
University of Kansas Hospital Authority) may receive a waiver of campus or area fees
by submitting a letter of verification of appointment from her/his personnel staff
member by the 30th calendar day after the first day of classes.

Resident Tuition Eligibility
The last day to apply for any status listed below for the Spring 2008 Semester
is February 18, 2008. Further information is at:

Students assessed non-resident tuition, who believe that they have met the resident tuition criteria.

Field Rates
This rate (waiver of required campus fees) is available to students who, by the
nature of their academic work (examples: internships, dissertations, thesis,
externships, and student teaching) and place of residence, have no opportunity to
utilize services and facilities supported by the required campus fees. Eligibility
for this rate is restricted by university policy to those students who are enrolled
in course work that is taught by appointment on the Lawrence campus and reside
outside an area served by a Lawrence, Kansas post office.

December 3, 2007, will be reflected on the student's bill. The last day to apply
is the 30th calendar day after the first day of classes.

In the event that eligibility for field rates ends or is found invalid before the last day
of the applicable term, tuition and campus fees will be reassessed for the
entire term at the appropriate amounts given on the
"how much do I pay?" page
Online courses are subject to a mediated course fee of $30.00 per credit hour. Additional premium fees may be assessed for online courses with higher
development/maintenance costs and/or greater market value, subject to approval by the Provost.
The fee for your first KU Card is $10. Replacements are $15. The identification card (KU Card) is available at
the KU Card Center, fourth floor, Kansas Union, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
A valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, or state ID) and proof of
enrollment are required. Your official name is printed on the KU Card; thus, the photo ID you
present must contain your official name, and it must match your name as it appears in the
university student system.
Late fee(non-refundable)
The late fee is $75 for August 16-22.;
$150 thereafter.
The late fee is applicable to any enrollment during the late fee periods.
It does not apply to adding classes once
you have enrolled.
$70.80 per credit hour is charged for all 700-799 level business courses
offered at or through the Edwards Campus. This is in addition to the $86.00 per credit Business differential tuition.
$73.05 per credit hour ($38.60 Edwards Campus Engineering fee plus $34.45 University Engineering fee) is charged for all engineering courses offered at or through the Edwards Campus.
$6.00 per credit hour is charged for all courses offered at or through the Edwards Campus.

For undergraduate students with enrollments of more than 12 Edwards Campus credits of 000-699 level courses a flat
rate of $468.00 will be assessed. For graduate students with enrollments of more than 12 Edwards Campus
credits of 500-999 level courses a flat
rate of $540.00 will be assessed.
The area service fee will not exceed $540.00 for enrollments in differing level combinations (graduate/undergraduate). For multiple campus/off-campus site
enrollments, campus fees/area service fees are assessed up to the applicable maximum for each site separately. Other fees may apply.
